Sam sighed as she sat on the gate of the pen, Sam was really glad yet somewhat sad to but she wasn't about to let her class see that she was sad she forced a small smile as her class arrived.

" Good morning Class, now today you'll be learning about Salamanders. Now it will stay in the cage because I don't want anyone hurt I made sure to weaken it so you can at least look at it" Sam said with a small sigh.

" So that what I want you to do, look inside the cage and do not stick your hands in the cage, and tell me what the age is" Sam said with a small sigh she smiled slightly.

Care of Magical Creatures was always an interesting class. Each lesson was very different from the next. He enjoyed it though, and was looking forward to the first lesson of the year.

He listened as Professor Hawthorn explained what they would be doing. She was an excellent teacher, and one of his favorites. All of the professors were excellent here. "Salamanders, interesting." Humphrey muttered to himself. Looking in the cage, he tried to remember what he knew about salamanders. All he knew was that fire salamanders weren't supposed to live longer than six hours. Taking a guess from the size of the flames he said, "Are they two hours old?" He didn't really know much about them.

Olivia walked into class and listened to her professor's instructions. She looked at the salamander but she didn't really know what age it is. Humphrey answered the question and she waited for the professor to tell them if it's the correct answer or not.

Jamie descended the hill to the Care of Magical creatures area and walked along to the clearing. She strode over to the other two student and grinned as she saw Humphrey, and a Slytherin girl. She wondered who she was. Jamie crossed her arms and stood on the other side of Humphrey, looking at the salamanders with interest. She was still a shy girl, and though she knew the age of the salamanders she stayed quiet and let Humphrey speak.

She shuffled her feet and dropped her arms to either side of her body, looking around for Rubi. She wondered if Rubi was sick or something? She hadn't seen her in any of her lessons.

Ethan finally reached the top of the hill, where their class was held. He walked over to what the others were looking at, and saw that it was a salamander. He took a look inside the cage. "It might be two or three hours old..." he thought, but didn't want to answer. Ethan just stood there and waited for the professor to tell them if Humphrey's answer was correct.

He finally looked up, and noticed only now that there were only three students. One was a Slytherin girl; he heard she was an Olivia, or something like that. The other was Humphrey, of Ravenclaw, and the other was Jamie, who was also a Hufflepuff.

Meliae walk through the forest she head for the lesson she watch the class take places.She thought they where okay she would love learn about manticore what was interesting about lizard. Some frogs could change sex male to female that was more interest but she still liked the class all the same. She did not know much about lizard all the same.

Sam smiled at Humphrey and she shook her head, " Actually it's five hours old believe it or not" Sam said smiling but he still deserved some house points they all did Sam looked at her watch and she smiled.

" Sadly our time is up, Five points each" Sam said while jumping off the pens gate she looked at her class.

" Class dismissed"
