Adolf was born in a rather small and poor family. Each and every night, they would usually go to bed without supper. All those days, they suffered. His father was a Dark One, and his mother knew nothing about this information. His father, Rodolphus, would come home late every night, usually drunk, and will beat his mother up. He and his sister, Bella, would stay locked up in their rooms, not even daring to go out for food. They would sneak every once in a while, but in the end they would get caught. Sneaking one day downstairs, Adolf and Bella were knocked unconscious. They woke up somewhere dark, and with them they saw their father. They watched his father get killed by a woman whose face they didn't see. They were unconscious again, but woke up at home. It seemed like a dream, but Adolf was sure it wasn't. His mother soon found out about his father being a Dark One, just a few days before he started Durmstrang.
