Lesson 3 - First Years Empty
PostSubject: Lesson 3 - First Years   Lesson 3 - First Years EmptyTue May 15, 2012 12:50 pm

Class List:
Aislin Swandeth
Meliae Winters
Carey Matthews
Jamie Wright
Rubi Wright
Paige Heart
October Williams
Hannah Dursley

------------------------------

Alcyone had the tables stacked in the corners of the rooms, one on top of the other in a messy array that only remained together with the use of a sticking charm. The chairs were neatly in stacked piles by the tables. Alcyone walked into the middle of the room and pointed her wand at the floor, murmuring a spell. A large square with white outlines filled the room, and the square was divided into four sections. Each section held a symbol of the house's animal, in the house's main colour. She walked to the outside of the circle and awaited her class.

Once they had all filed in and moved to their house area's, she eyed them each with a smile. She was excited for what she had in store for them, and with her cowboy hat on her head she tipped it in greeting. "Howdy," she greeted them with a roll of her eyes at her own childish antics. She was un-able to help it though, she found wearing her cowboy hat made her act strangely. Or, perhaps it was the little baby inside of her that was making her all giddy. She patted her stomach absent-mindedly.

She summoned one of the chairs to the middle of the squares and walked over to it. "Today you are going to turn the padding of this chair a different colour. Many of you may think it easy, but the art of changing the colour of an object is not the easiest magic to master. You must focus your energy on the object," she narrowed her eyes on the padding and pointed her wand at it. "Very carefully, imagine it slowly morphing from the colour it is not into the colour you want it to be," she pictured the brown padding turning a bright green colour. "Then, you twirl your wand counter-clockwise and zig-zag it downwards whilst saying 'Chemiae'," Alcyone did so, and with the uttered spell she watched in satisfaction as the padding turned green. She then summoned the rest of the chairs and designated one chair to each person in their section of the squares. "I want you to change the padding to the colour of your house. Begin," Alcyone walked back up to the front and sat down at her desk.

Lesson 3 - First Years Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lesson 3 - First Years   Lesson 3 - First Years EmptyThu May 17, 2012 6:40 am

Olivia couldn't wait to go to her next class which is transfiguration. She was sick and couldn't go to class but she recovered and was back into action. She went to the fourth floor and head to her class. She got in and head to the Slytherin area. She giggled when her professor said howdy and thought that it was adorable. She watch very closely to what the professor was demonstrating.

Then, when the teacher asked them to change the colour of the padding to their own house colour she was nervous and scared. she headed towards the chair and took a deep breath and imagine the brown padding turning into a bright green colour. Then, she twirl her wand counter-clockwise and zig-zag it downwards while saying "Chemiae" and it did not work. She was frustrated and decided to try it again.

She took a deep breath and concentrate really hard and focus all her energy on the object. She pictured the brown padding to turn into green and twirl her want counter-clockwise and zig-zag it downwards while saying "Chemiae" and the brown padding turned to green. She was ecstatic that she managed to do it.

Meliae was second to arrive within the class she took a seat within the desk. Then she look up she study it within her mind what the teacher was doing even taking a bit note on how she perform the simple task so she would be able to do someday.

Her mind fill with object that were naturally blue liked that of sky without cloud. The way she did she look down at the padel she did it so many time within her head just to make sure she even check over. She said to do it countered clockwise she did take note on what she said to do and then do it downward it said her note said.

Then she study the padding so quietly that of blue and what do royal supposed to have blue blood. That of blue not red she then concentration on the color alone. She picture the padding blue it alone. Then she start to twirl counterclockwise and zig-zag downward while she was doing she picture blue sky and freedom up within the nice blue sky

."Chemiae." She picture the sky as she did with not cloud within the sky. Then as she look down she notice the brown padding had indeed turn a blue that it was that color of the sky blue. But hey it was blue color of her house right. She got it different color wasn't it good thing. Beside ravens the bird upon a sky that was it that color they did not fly upon midnight blue or other shade of blue right. She did well she felt that is.

Carey raised an eyebrow as he walked into the room. What was with this set up?? It looked..well, haphazard. He waited around with the other students including that know-it-all slytherin whom he stood next to and Meli.

Was this professor being serious? He rolled his eyes a bit and crossed his arms. What a joke, and he thought that he might actually like transfiguration. As she began to tell what they were doing, Carey leaned over to the slytherin girl and muttered. "This is stupid-" before looking back to the front of the classroom.

He sighed, pulling out his wand, getting ready to get on with the lesson anyways. He stood straight as he pointed his want to the cushion. Colour changing was something his mother had let him try before, so he practiced a little, but as the professor said it was still a bit of a handle to get on for a first year and he often messed up. But with his own wand and more of a handle on his magic, he was confident he could get it this time.

He pictured the seat cushion as being green, and tried the spell, saying aloud "Chemiae." it didn't work, of course not. Picturing the final result just didn't work. He needed to picture the process, picture it as it changed. He narrowed his eyes, trying to concentrate and clear his vision. He called out "Chemiae" again as he did the wand movements. He smiled wide, pleased to see it slowly begin to change to the house colour.

Jamie blinked as she stepped into the classroom and looked around. Against the walls, the tables and chairs were piled and in the middle of the room was a rather interesting design. She thought it looked interesting, though she noticed that Carey seemed displeased with their professor's antics. She was beginning to become irritated with his constant grumpiness. He always seemed to have a problem with the professor's, and he always made it clear on his face.

"Can't you just grow up?" Jamie hissed from the Hufflepuff area to the stupid Slytherin boy. She turned her attention to the chair and focused her energy. It felt strange to direct her magical core into an object. She imagined it turning slowly into an ugly yellow, then lightening and becoming more golden. "Chimae," she performed the movements and spoke the words. It turned an ugly mixture of brown and gold. She tried again, then again, then again. Finally, she focused once more and collected her irritated thoughts. "Chimae," she whispered, and the padding turned from a weird, brown-gold-blue colour to the Hufflepuff yellow. She smiled.

Alcyone nodded her head at each of their process and narrowed her eyes as Jamie snapped something at Carey. However, they didn't take it any further and she decided to let them off with an irritated glare. She then smiled and inspected their chairs. Some of the colour's weren't what she wanted, and they also were beginning to fade as the colour normally did. She nodded her head and smacked her lips.

"Alright, very good, students! I'm most pleased with your work. You are dismissed." She nodded her head and waved cheerily.
