More Information

Jaycie grew up in middle-class Birmingham with her mother, father, and for three years before school, little sister Jenna. They were an immaculately close family, and the year before Jaycie started at Hogwarts her father was killed in a German Raid. That drew the three survivors closer as a family, and Jaycie cherishes them more than anything in her life. She started school as shy and incredibly quiet, not making friends until the end of her first year and into her second. She made friends with Anne Jones, the Gryffindor girl she met at the abandoned tower, and Alcyone Malfoy, her best friend who chanced upon her down near the Whomping Willow. Ever since that day Jay and Alcy have been the closest of friends.
Since her home life was no drama, Jaycie dedicated herself to her studies and her new friends. When Jay found out about Alcyone's tortuous home days, and that her sister had been killed horrifically by Alcy's tutor, she did not hesitate to make Alcyone and her little brother Caelum stay with her. After all, her mother's house had too much room in it for three people (it was inherited from Jaycie's father's mother when she died, and has room for at least seven residents). That was in her sixth year, and the first time she noticed how well Caelum had grown into his body. She developed a strong fondness for her best friend's younger brother after that, and it still remains as strong as ever, though their bond has grown slightly more.
Jaycie ended up doing the one thing she never thought she could achieve - singing on stage. The first few performances she had, she came close to passing out the minute she stepped off stage, and the very first one she did she actually passed out ON the stage. Jay worked through that and charmed her audiences with her songs, making a name for herself throughout wizarding Europe.
