Deva walked into her room and smiled slightly when she saw that she had been lucky enough to get a room with a view over the Black Lake. She walked over to the window and opened it, letting the summerair blow into the room. It wasn't very big, but she loved it the instant she had first set foot in it to drop of her luggage, even though she had used an undetectable extension charm on it to make sure she had room for everything. But now it was time to unpack. She walked over to her many suitcases and slowly started unpacking, thinking about all the events she had been through, only in a few days. She had seen Alcyone, Pyxis and Parker, but none of them had seen anyone but the new teacher, Deva, from Dragmor.

She sighed. 'Not this again,' she thought, sick of thinking about it all. But there was no stopping it. And when she first started, she couldn't concentrate on folding her clothes. She let a trouser go, which she had been trying to fold as a shirt. She then walked over to the couch in the window sill, leaning out of the open window. Hogwarts was still the same. Truly. Nothing had changed. Only the people. She stared at the glissning waters.

What would life be like from now on? Would it be easy to continue to lie to them? Or would she slip up? She knew she had a weak spot with where she had gone to school, due to how she had told the headmistress that she had gone to Hogwarts, and then told all the other teachers that, no, she hadn't gone to Hogwarts. Deva made a memo to go talk to Headmistress Smith about it later.

A breeze caught her red hair and made it twirl around her. She closed her eyes, savouring the feeling. She then used some of her own powers to let the wind continue to blow, but not stronger, just so it wouldn't stop. She opened her eyes again, continuing to look at the lake. It was so beautiful, it was breathtaking, really. She then smiled as a black owl flew towards her. Zar. He was starting to grow really old now, but she had kept him close. She raised her arm, and the owl flew and landed on it. She started petting him.

She then thought about what Pyxis had said about sending a letter, telling her that Haley was all right. But she didn't want to. Actually, there had been times when Deva had considered sending a letter telling of Haley's death. But she was glad that she had never let it go so far. At least now. Pyxis would never forgive her if she found out that Deva was Haley and that Haley wasn't dead. So she was grateful for that.

She sat on the couchioned windowsill for a while longer, just looking at the lake, petting Zar. She wondered if she would ever be okay again, and there was a small hope in her, stronger now than ever before, that, yes, she would be all right. A small smile spread on her lips at the thought.
